21 Days of Ugly Christmas Sweaters

I’m not sure if it was the sound of Michael Buble singing “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” or the smell of the pine needles getting sucked into the vacuum, but yesterday I found my Christmas spirit! With 21 days to go — and the temperature outside reaching a balmy 73 degrees today — I’m not sure I’ll be able to hang on to the joyous feeling, but I’m going to give it a try!

Honestly, I’m not as into the holiday as I used to be, so I reveled in the moment of merriness. With three kids grown and the youngest one too “busy” to help put up the tree, the spirit of the season has lost its luster in years past. Hand scribbled letters to Santa have been replaced by documents shared in Google Drive–which include not only a list of requested gifts, but the link to where we can purchase them. Efficient? Yes. Magical? No.

So, back to my joyousness.

In my joyous state, after all the glitter was scattered about the house, I logged on to Etsy, looking for a few crafty Christmas gift ideas. And what to my wondering eyes did appear? An ugly Christmas sweater sporting a big reindeer!

Not wanting to keep this “find” to myself I clicked Pinterest to share it and discovered it wasn’t really a FIT for any of my current boards.

SO.. low and behold, my gift to you:

21 Days of Ugly Christmas Sweaters!

Who knew there were so many ugly Christmas sweaters out there?

So, to keep myself in the spirit of the season–despite the humbuggery of uninspired teens and threadbare Christmas trees — I will share with you at least one new UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER each day!

This is a group board, so if you want to be included, let me know– and you can share your #uglyChristmasSweater!

I’ve invited some folks and hope that we can get to at least 100 Christmas sweaters in 21 days. Help me spread the joy by repinning my Ugly Christmas sweaters on Pinterest!
